Jesus Hopped
The "A" Train
Stephen Adly Guirgis’ drama tells the story of a young man with the telling
name of Angel who is confined in the highest security holding area of a jail
awaiting trial on charges of attempting to murder a minister who claimed to
be the Son of God. The only other prisoner in the holding area is a mass
murderer who claims he has found God. The relationship between the two
prisoners, a lawyer and the jailors tests the limits, strengths and
relevance of religion, the criminal justice system, capitol punishment and
duty.

The Weir
An evening of ghost stories traded between the patrons in an Irish pub
provide the text while the competition between the patrons for the eye of
the only female in the place provides the sub-text. The play won the Olivier
Award for best play in London in 1998 and transferred to Broadway in 1999.
