Source Festival
Jeremy Skidmore produces a three-week festival of premiere works including 10 minute plays the first week, multi-disciplinary works the second and one-act plays the third. Among the directors handling specific productions will be Michael Kahn, Blake Robison, Eric Schaeffer, Howard Shalwitz and Joy Zinoman. In the final week, John Vreeke will direct Chris Stezin's This Perfect World, Dorothy Neumann will helm Julian Sheppard's Sunday Night, J. T. Rogers' Murmuring in a Dead Tongue will be directed by Jennifer Nelson, Steven Mazzola will direct Graeme Gillis' Catch and Julia Cho's The Mnemonist will be staged by David Muse. Here's the slate for the 10-minute plays, each of which will be a world premiere:

  • June 23, 26, 28 and 29: Group A hosted by magician Matthew Holtzclaw: The Great White Undulating Orb in the Bed Between Us by Ari Roth, directed by Deborah Kirby; Maintenance by Nathan McGaughey, directed by Blake Robison; NOLA by Rick Parker, directed by Michael Bobbitt; Painting a Room by Dano Madden, directed by Jenny McConnell Fredrick; The Two Marys by Heather McDonald,  directed by Joy Zinoman; Urashima Taro by Francesca Sanders, directed by Christopher Gallu; Urban Legend by Mike Batistick, directed by Gregg Henry; The Wild Life by Thomas Higgins, Directed by Mark Rhea.
     

  • June 24,  26, 27 and 28: Group B hosted by slam poet/spoken word artist Regie Cabico: Empties by Matt Mayerchak, directed by Howard Shalwitz; How Much for This by Keith Bridges, directed by Karen Berman;  Magnolia Day by Sheri Graubert, directed by Jeffery Johnson; Pentimento by Jon Haller, directed by Michael Baron; Running in Circles Screaming by Jeni Mahoney, directed by Paul Douglas Michnewicz; What Remains by Libby Leonard, directed by John MacDonald; Warriors by Renee Calarco, directed by Christopher Henley; Writer’s Block by John-Paul Nickel, directed by Paata Tsikurishvili; Yes to Everything by Phillip Dawkins, directed by Linda Murray.
     

  • June 25, 27, 28 and 29: Group C hosted by hip hop dj Nick the 1 Da: The Bed by Allyson Currin, directed by Scott Fortier; First/Last by Aaron Levy, directed by Robert McNamara; Dated: A Cautionary Tale by Ira Gamerman, directed by Michael Dove; The Downtown Daylight Project by Daniel McCoy, directed by Michael Kahn; The Rabbit and the Snake by Randy Baker, directed by Mark Ramont; Tamed by Foster Solomon, directed by Eric Schaeffer; A Taste of Heaven by Estep Nagy, directed by Kathleen Akerley; Without Parachutes by Eric Levitz, directed by Jack Marshall.
